Does anyone think it's interesting that the Democrats and Republicans have switched colors since 1992? What changed? Were Democrats associated with communism (and therefore red) before the end of the Cold War began to sink in, and Republicans adopted the more aggressive color for their own? Or does the media think of red as the insurgency and blue as the establishment?

Does anyone think it's interesting that the Democrats and Republicans have switched colors since 1992? What changed?
