Sorry, folks, but Noahpinion will be on break for a week (and has already been on break for several days), as Mr. Noah himself must edit a book for the Japanese government, and is quite swamped with work. I promise to bring back the witty, incisive political commentary, and the jokes centered around the use of the word "poopy," in a few days.

In the meantime, here are some interesting things you can do to keep yourself occupied:

1. You can read about the utter train wreck of Republican efforts to govern our country, and the fact that they basicall have no issues to run on in the next election other than the vague, amorphous zeitgeist idea of "Republicans strong, Democrats weak"...

2. You can check out a whole bunch of cartoons penned (mostly) in the Muslim world, almost all of which are so much more offensive than the recently published Danish "Muhammed cartoons" as to make the recent Islamic rage seem immensely hypocritical...

3. You can read about how Bush's newfound respect for science is totally opposite to his administration's history of disregard and disrespect for science...

4. You can read some conservatives arguing against abuse of eminent domain...which should naturally be a liberal cause as well...

5. You could read yet another article about why Intelligent Design is dumb...

6. Or you could just watch a video of a polar bear sliding around on its face.
