I remember that moment in the year 2000 when CNN took back its call of Florida for Al Gore. I felt like we were entering some kind of national nightmare. But I had no idea how much of a nightmare it would be.
Tonight that nightmare ended. Which is amazing in and of itself. But watching Obama's victory speech, I started to hope that maybe what's happening now is better than just the end of something terrible, but the beginning of something great.
This is America, after all. It wouldn't be the first time.
