Fresh-breaking news from my swivel-chair

The McCain campaign appears to have undergone a fundamental shift. It seems the campaign is no longer about winning, it's about looking tough (reminds me a little of Bush's foreign policy). Case in point: McCain is vowing to bring up the William Ayers thing at Wednesday's debate. That's his big move, huh? That's going to change the momentum of the race? They've been hammering on the Ayers thing for over a week now, and it's done precisely squat. At this point, McCain just wants to go down fighting.

As for Obama, it looks like he's finally gaining Middle America's respect. Pro-life Catholics are putting their religious concerns on hold to vote Obama. Dennis Hopper, who voted for Bush twice and Bush Sr. once, and who stars in the anti-Michael Moore movie "An American Carol," is saying that he prays Obama wins.

The upshot: Vote Obama!
