This has GOT to be a joke

John McCain "suspended" his campaign for the presidency today, in order to "work on the financial crisis" in Washington.

This is part of a pattern of increasingly erratic behavior on McCain's part. Selecting Sarah Palin after meeting her once was part of it. Not knowing who the president of Spain was was another. Then suddenly blaming the chairman of the SEC for the collapse of the U.S. financial sector was another. And mixed in with these were a whole lot of mystifying statements, nonsense, outright lies, cutting off press access, etc.

This has got to be a joke. McCain is going off the deep end even as we watch. If America elects him anyway, over an obviously competent and serious alternative, we have truly lost it as a nation.
