If you ain't cheatin', you ain't tryin

The faking of the Olympic opening ceremony fireworks and China's use of underage gymnasts both give me a nice opportunity to poke fun at the Chinese government. But they also underscore China's will to win in all things. And to criticize Chinese fakery would be pretty hypocritical coming from a country where the best baseball players and many the best Olympic runners use performance-enhancing drugs.

Update: Apparently, the little girl who sang at the opening ceremony was lip-synching, because the actual singer was deemed too ugly...
