For the Record

My fearless prediction when the smoke clears on Wednesday:

Senate:
Dems (and affiliated independents): 48
Repubs: 52

House:
Dems: 215
Repubs: 220

The Republicans have too strong a political machine, too much electioneering and fraud, and that last-minute "gut-check" reaction of many Middle Americans who just can't bring themselves to vote for the Democrats once they've stepped inside the polling booth. If I'm right, this will be enough to let them keep both houses.

The Democratic revolution will come soon, but not this year.
